Our Students Won The Grand Prize In The 17th "Challenge Cup" Sichuan University Students' Extra-curricular Academic Science & Technology Works Competition

On May 16, 2023, the final round of the 17th "Challenge Cup" Sichuan Student Extra-curricular Academic Science and Technology Competition was successfully held at Chengdu University. Associate Professor Li Yong of the School of Electrical Engineering supervised undergraduates Jia Jiazhao, Liu Zesong, Chen Yilun and Wang Bo of the Class 2020 to complete their work "Power Grid Guard - Self-powered Multi-Physical Quantity Detection System for High-voltage Transmission Lines", which won the Grand Prize among 1035 outstanding works in the provincial competition. The work "Power Grid Guard - Self-powered Multi-Physical Quantity Detection System for High-voltage Transmission Lines" won the Grand Prize among 1,035 outstanding entries in the provincial competition.
"The Challenge Cup is one of the most popular national competitions for university students in China, and is also the most representative university competition in the country. The competition is co-organised by the Sichuan Provincial Committee of Youth League, the Organisation Department of the Provincial Committee, the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Academy of Social Sciences, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Provincial Federation of Schools and Colleges, and attracts the participation of 112 universities and colleges in the province, with more than 100,000 teachers and students. Our students will continue to compete with the national outstanding works in the national competition.
