March 10th in 2015, the whole staff conference has been held by the Electrical Engineering College of Southwest Jiaotong University in Jiuli international conference centre. Wang Shunhong, CPC Secretary of SWJTU, Feng Xiaoyun, Vice President of SWJTU, Qian Qingquan, member of China Engineering Academy and Yan Qipeng, Deputy secretary of the party committee of SWJTU , attended the convention.
The session announced the school decision on the appointment and dismissal of Cadres College of Electrical Engineering.Gao Shibin was relieved from the post of director of the school of Electrical Engineering, and Chen Weirong was removed from the party secretary of the school of electrical engineering and electrical engineering as well as the vice president of the post. Then, Chen Weirong was appointed dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Su Bin was appointed party secretary of the school of Electrical Engineering.
Subsequently, President Gao Shibin delivered a speech focused on several key words, namely, complex, gratitude, regret, ease and trust. Expressing his gratitude to his colleagues and school leaders for their trust and support for these years, Gao believed, under the new leadership, Electrical Engineering will achieved another new high through innovation and revolution. He also indicated his strong willing to return to the front line of teaching and research and make continue dedication to the development of the electrical discipline.
Then, the new Dean Professor Chen Weirong expressed affirmation and respect to the leadership team led by President Gao Shibin, he also gave thanks to the school leaders and faculty for their trust and support. Chen said, under the support of SWJTU and hardworking of all the members of the our college, we have made tremendous achievements in the times of high-speed railway construction. He also gave strategic guidance and plan to the new leaders on people orientation,teaching faculty,talent cultivation,scientific research and international level, so as to make breakthroughs in many aspects and prompt further development of Electrical Career.
As the last step of the meeting process, CPC Secretary Wang Shunhong spoke highly of the pattern of the unremitting efforts and contribution made by the Electrical Engineering Academy in strengthening the development of school.“Electrical Engineering College has always been one of the pillars of the SWJTU, and according to the three strategic goals, electrical engineering college will be given more support to help its further development.
