On June 18, 2021, the graduation ceremony and degree conferment ceremony of the School of Electrical Engineering was held on Xi Pu campus.
Dean Chen Weirong of the College of Electrical Engineering, Party Secretary Luo Qianchao, deputy dean He Xiaoqiong, deputy dean Chen Minjwu, as well as Party Secretary Wang Yi, Director of the Faculty Services Office, Zhang Tingting, Director of the Student Support Office, Fan Bingbing, Dean of the Administrative Office, Xu Yinglei, director of Department of Electrical Engineering, Song Wensheng, director of Power Electronics and Power Transmission Engineering Department, Huang Deqing, director of Electronic and Information Engineering Department, 2017 tutors and counselors attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Xie Li, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college.
The ceremony began with all standing up and singing the National Anthem of the People's Republic of China in a solemn atmosphere.
The first session on the agenda of the ceremony was the swearing-in ceremony for new members of the Party in 2021. In the presence of many teachers and students, led by Party Secretary Luo Qianchao and supervised by Dean Chen Weirong, the new and old party members among the graduates solemnly swore in front of the party flag that they would serve the country with determination, return the kindness of the party and the people with excellent results, and resolutely serve the socialist cause for life. Comrade Yan Shuxuan, a representative of the new party members, said "the oath of party membership is a symbol of the beginning of the political life of a Communist Party member", "we will always remember this sacred moment, always remember the promise we made to the Party and the people.
On behalf of the Party Committee of the College, Luo Qianchao congratulated the new party members. In his speech, he said that the students are the future of the motherland, the builders and the main force of the intersection of the two hundred years. Students of the 2017 Class, Wang Yan, Wang Yiyun, Wang Haowen and Wang Xueqi spoke on behalf of the graduates, expressing their deep gratitude to the faculty members, academic staff and all those who had helped them during the four years of care and love. After that, Zhao Zuwen, a representative of the graduates, gave a gift to the college, wishing the prosperous development of the electrical business.
Dean Chen Weirong sent a message of concern to the graduating students with the theme of "Inherit Innovative Culture and Start a New Journey", and also expressed his warm congratulations to the graduates.
Later, deputy dean Chen Minwu read out the list of bachelor's degrees. The graduates went up to the stage in turn to receive degrees from their supervisors and took pictures with them.
