Lecture Content Overview:
The publication of a paper is an essential part of any research work to disseminate the results of the investigation. In addition, publications (quantity and quality) play a key role in the career of any researcher and professor.
This talk will show how the quality of a good paper is evaluated. In addition, the different parts of a paper will be discussed in detail: title, abstract, introduction, main body and conclusions. The talk also includes clear recommendations in relation to style and format, to write attractive and highly cited papers. The presentation also shows how the productivity of a researcher is assessed.
This presentation is of benefit and highly recommended for graduate students and professors in the early stage of their career.
Lecturer's Profile:
Jose Rodriguez has been President of three universities in Chile. He has experience in the management of research. He has published +900 journal and conference papers, has +80.000 citations and a Hirsch Factor of H=110. He has been included in the “List of Highly Cited Researchers” continuously in years 2014 to 2023. This list recognizes the most influential scientists of the world, considering the citations of their publications.
Dr. Rodriguez is Life Fellow of the IEEE. He received the Eugene Mittelmann Achievement Award given by the IEEE.
